Pioneering K-pop hip-hop duo Deux, led by member Lee Hyun-do, is marking its 32nd anniversary with a major comeback. The duo will release the new single ‘Rise’ on November 27th at 6 PM KST, signaling the start of their 4th full-length album, which is planned for release in the first half of next year. This will be their first full album in 31 years.
The release is highly significant because the track applies AI vocal restoration technology to feature the voice of the late Kim Sung-jae. The new song maintains Deux's signature New Jack Swing sound.
To commemorate the comeback, Wide Company and KT are co-hosting a special listening event, ‘THE SOUND STAGE with KT’, on the 27th at KT Square in Gwanghwamun. The new song will be publicly unveiled via KT Square’s massive media wall. Deux, who disbanded in 1995, last featured both members' voices on the 1997 best-of album ‘DEUX FOREVER’.
