U.S. R&B duo Emotional Oranges has denied rumors of a collaboration with NewJeans member Danielle. On May 21, they posted on their official account, stating, “It’s not a collaboration with Danielle. We helped produce a song for Olivia Marsh, her sister. Sorry for the confusion—this wasn’t our intention.”
The clarification came after they uploaded a photo featuring Danielle, Olivia Marsh, and the duo in what appeared to be a recording studio. The post included a bunny emoji—associated with NewJeans—and a message saying, “Coming soon, please wait,” sparking speculation about a potential collaboration.
However, the post was later deleted. With Danielle currently in a contract dispute with her agency ADOR and unable to pursue solo activities, some assumed the post’s removal was related. Emotional Oranges later clarified that the project was with Olivia Marsh, not Danielle, to clear up any misunderstanding.
