ADOR has officially terminated its exclusive contract with NewJeans member Danielle, making a five-member reunion impossible. While Hanni has confirmed her return and negotiations with Minji are ongoing, the group is expected to reorganize as a four-member lineup including Haerin and Hyein.
On the 29th, ADOR stated that continuing with Danielle was no longer feasible and announced plans to pursue legal action against former CEO Min Hee-jin and a member of Danielle’s family for their roles in the dispute. The agency also plans to hold Danielle accountable for the grounds of her contract termination.
Regarding Hanni, ADOR noted that following sincere dialogue, she has chosen to respect recent court rulings and remain with the label. ADOR attributed much of the conflict to "distorted information" that led to misunderstandings between the company and the artists.
This development follows last month's brief hope for a full-group comeback when all members expressed their intent to return. Industry analysts are now debating whether Danielle’s exit is a form of "scapegoating," recalling Min Hee-jin’s previous warning that NewJeans is only complete with all five members.
