On June 18, all five members of 4Minute reunited for the group's 17th debut anniversary, sharing heartwarming photos and messages. Kwon So-hyun posted on social media: “4minute 17th anniversary...♥ Ponias, are you all doing well..? Today I feel the passage of time,” alongside pictures of the group holding a cake.
4Minute debuted in 2009 and disbanded in 2016, making this full-group gathering a rare moment for fans. The youngest member, Kwon So-hyun, prepared nostalgic stickers, number candles, and desserts as anniversary gifts for her older sisters. Jeon Ji-yoon later posted a photo of a teddy bear-shaped cake she received, writing, “Our 17th anniversary gift that little S prepared. It’s so cute, what do I do?”
For longtime fans of the group—known as Ponias—this reunion underscores the lasting bond between the members despite their separate careers. Kwon So-hyun’s candid reflection that “Even an ordinary day can become a memory, so it becomes an anniversary” highlights how meaningful the milestone remains for the group and their supporters.
“Even an ordinary day can become a memory, so it becomes an anniversary. As a team, 17 years have passed; as an individual, 21 years have passed. Still, I am grateful to be able to commemorate this time.” — Kwon So-hyun
