Woojin, a member of the boy group LONGSHOT, recently underwent surgery for a ruptured joint, torn labrum, and torn ligaments in his right shoulder. The procedure followed a hospital examination revealing that chronic dislocations had caused significant internal damage.
The injury stemmed from a condition where the singer’s shoulder bones repeatedly collided due to frequent dislocations. Woojin remained unaware of the severity because his natural flexibility masked the symptoms during his daily activities and promotions.
While Woojin is now recovering, he will temporarily limit his participation in group activities to avoid strenuous movement. This affects his ability to perform full choreography during LONGSHOT's current schedule.
"I tried my best to avoid surgery, but I had to do it. They said the bones were hitting each other because of habitual dislocation and the labrum was torn. The ligaments were also torn. But they said because my arms and shoulders are much more flexible than others, I didn't realize it and lived with it. It was already in a very bad state." — Woojin
