Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Development Corporation (GH) announced on the 23rd at the Bitmaru Broadcasting Support Center in Goyang that the Live Nation Consortium was chosen as the preferred bidder for the K-Culture Valley private investment project.
Four companies submitted letters of intent, and after review by an external expert committee, Live Nation, the world’s largest concert promoter, was selected.
Live Nation organizes about 40,000 shows yearly in over 40 countries, while Live Nation Korea has elevated Korea’s concert industry by hosting global artists at major venues such as the Goyang Sports Complex.
Gyeonggi Province set the project vision as “A New Era of Global Cultural Industry – K-Culture Valley.”
The core facility, the arena, will be a world-class indoor venue for 20,000–50,000 spectators, developed as a K-pop tourism hub combining performances, shopping, and leisure. It will operate year-round, unaffected by weather.
